For those of you
unfamiliar with the eScholarship Program, it is a digital publishing
initiative within the Office of Scholarly Communication at the University of
California. Though it falls under the
aegis of the CDL – and hence happily coexists with the worlds of metadata and
built content – eScholarship’s specific mandate is to “provide leadership and
operational support for the University of California’s efforts to develop an
innovative and sustainable scholarly publishing system.”
