promotes efficiency and standardization

•Integrate key functions in the archival
lifecycle, including accessioning, resource description, subject and name
management and application, and resource location

•Support outputs such as EAD, EAC, METS, MARC
XML, and various administrative outputs
|
|
•Be deployable in a range of archival settings
|
|
•Types: historical societies, college archives,
museum archives, commercial archives, and other archives specializing in
non-textual materials (sound or video archives, for example)
|
|
•Sizes: single staff member or a
multi-repository consortium
