  • Graduate student began scanning important dissertations and other documents from the library collection at Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis
  • Began development of prototype repository, using IBM Content Manger (formerly IBM Digital Library) software.
June, 2000
Presented the prototype collection at the International Association for the Study of Common Property (IASCP) Conference in Bloomington, Indiana.
December, 2000
Decided to abandon IBM Content Manager in favor of recently released EPrints software <http://www.eprints.org/>
Fall, 2001
After a fair bit of customization of EPrints, the Digital Library of the Commons went into production running EPrints 1.x software.
2004
Migrated to EPrints 2.1
2004 - present
Developed and implemented additional functionality (e.g., searchable bibliography, full-text searching)
