PROJECT BACKGROUND

DLF Aquifer project work is distributed amongst four working groups, collections, metadata, technology and services. The Aquifer Implementation Group, coordinated by the DLF Aquifer director, sets policy. Appendix II of the DLF Aquifer Business Plan outlines working group charges and lists members.

Each working group meets regularly by conference call. Both working group members and colleagues in participant libraries engage in project tasks betwen calls.

DLF Aquifer Business Plan approved by the DLF Steering Committee, May 20, 2005.

The Aquifer Prototype Group met on February 28, 2005 at Stanford University to discuss a draft business plan.

Katherine Kott became the Aquifer Director on Januray 1, 2005.
